Let's face it....Beautiful tile is expensive. Clients often lowball their budget for this category and then feel disappointed when they can't have that Pinterest-Perfect tile work they hoped for. I'm here to tell you that you can have interesting and beautiful tile on a budget. You just have to be creative. In addition to showing you a few surprisingly chic and budget friendly tile options, I'll also let you in on my favorite design trick...how to use ordinary tile in an unexpected way. #1 Gingham / Plaid
For a whimsical floor, select 3 coordinating tiles in 12", 18", or 24" and install them on a 45 degree angle as shown.

#2 BOLD VERTICAL STRIPES
Create stunning stripes with basic tiles in alternating colors. Here they have used beautiful natural limestone. You can ask your tile installer to cut larger tiles to the right size but be aware there will be a slightly added cost to the labor and materials.
